FAQ

What is Cat Wine and Dog Wine made of?

All of our pet wine products have a proprietary blend that includes all-natural organically grown herbs, fresh beets and natural preservatives to help hold the taste and color. We believe in natural ingredients for our particularly classy feline and canine friends.

Is there Alcohol in this Cat and Dog Wine?

No. Cats and Dogs don't really have a positive taste for alcohol, mainly because they tend to make bad decisions and do things they don't necessarily remember the next morning. Unlike their humans, of course.

Will my cat like this?

Let's be honest. Cat's are finicky and tend to get to know things (and humans) on their own terms. According to science (yes, science), only about 65% of cats have a sensitivity to the smell of catnip so it's very possible that they won't be immediately drawn to the drink. However, we have used tasty beets in our recipe that tend to draw more cats in for a yummy drink. We suggest serving the wine room-temperature as cats tend to not like cold beverages.

What will this do to my cat?

Well, depending on how much they drink - the effects will vary. When cats smell catnip, they tend to get funny, move around and play a lot. The exact opposite occurs when they ingest catnip. They normally will become more "mellowed" out when they drink the wine so it might actually help for those restless nights.

Can my dog drink this?

We don't see why not! Let Mr. Snuggles drink away. He will likely enjoy it much more quickly than your finicky furball. We are working on something especially for dogs so stay tuned. This is the reason why we have created Dog Wine!

My little brother just drank the bottle. Should I call a doctor?!

Our wine is made with all natural ingredients that are beneficial to both cats and humans. While we state that the product is not intended for humans, fear not. All of our herbs are also used in tea and produces a sleepy feeling in both cats and people. Overall, no need to panic!

What is the shelf-life of the wine?

We use natural sea salt in our wine; therefore, the product should hold out well. (Note that salt is the oldest and truest preservative). We still suggest storing your bottle in a cool, dry, dark place for up to 12 months. Once opened, refrigerate the bottle for up to an additional 30 days, but use discretion. If it doesn't look like something you would drink, don't give it to your cat. Additionally, we leave a little catnip sediment in the bottom of the bottles for added flavor, so if you see something floating around, it's totally fine. Feel free to shake the bottle to distribute it around, or leave it in the bottom.

My bottle is brown, what happenned?

As with most foods, aging can occur much faster when left in sunlight and oxygen. This means the beets have oxidized and the color has faded. The product should still be safe, but we would recommend pitching it at this point. Who wants to drink brown wine?

Can I buy this at a pet store?

Yes of course! We are working on gaining distribution across the U.S. First, we are starting in Colorado and Arizona and will be hopefully building out across the country. You can find us using our location map here.
